Candy girls, milkmaids and modern clogs

Hello lovelies, be ready for a picture overload! :)

Yesterday after work we decided to go for a walk, because it was the most beautiful sunny evening! Thanks to the sun I wanted to put on the most fun and colorful outfit I could find in my wardrobe and then I found this striped colorful skirt that reminds me of a huge lollipop :) There is so much history behind that skirt! I found it about 8 years ago from the market and wore it during the summer so much it was insane. Actually, on the above picture on the right there is me with the very same skirt, but the difference is that on there I'm 7 years younger and the skirt has maxi length. For some reason I can't remember right now me and my best friend had to make some pictures for school and so that skirt got captured :)  Then I kind a forgot about it and about a year ago I decided to make it shorter because I didn't like maxi skirts on me - there it is, now it's a little fluffy knee-length skirt that makes me smile with it's colorful pattern every time I put it on! The only problem is, it's a bit big for me and I felt like a cupcake decoration with my "ball-gown" like tutu, haha not to even mention the wind that was so naughty and wanted to blow my skirt up all the time!

Besides feeling like a cupcake (really sweet, indeed), after looking the pictures I realized I look a bit like a Dutch milkmaid with clogs and everything 0.o I'm not sure why I got this feeling, but I guess it's the fluffy skirt, white tights and wooden shoes that made me feel that way. I do look like a milkmaid, don't I? But I wouldn't say I mind, it was so much fun wearing a colorful outfit in the middle of all those "overly-grey people" on the streets. One good way to find inspiration to dress yourself is to look at the outfit and ask yourself: "Does this outfit make me smile and seems like a lot of fun?" First you have to enjoy what you are wearing yourself and then you can bring all the joy to others!

I hope you like my little interpretation of milk maids and cupcake decorations, I swear if I'd be a baker I would bake a cupcake girl dressed like this! Sounds like a plan :)
