Insanity week 6 - "why the hell am I doing this?!"

Hello sweeties! :)

Another INSANE week of workout has ended!  It really seemed to me as if the week lasted double as much as it should - I felt like the week is never going to end!  The thing was that this week the workout changed to MAXIMUM, the highest level. This week I have actually realized that NOW the Insanity really begins.  Before that it was just a warming up for the real deal.  At the first month the intervals of the workout were only 1,5 minutes and the whole workout lasted for 40-45 minutes. Now the intervals have been doubled to 3 minutes of pure non-stop sweating and working your ass off, that's followed with a short 30-second-break that allows you to only grab a drink of water, that's it! The workout itself lasts for 55-60 minutes! I've never ever done such a long workout, not even an easier one like aerobics or so.

I've been very unlucky with my health this week, that hasn't made the insane workout any easier! First of all, I had horrible cramps in my tummy and abs, moreover - I was lucky enough to catch a little cold too!  It all together made the whole exercise just intolerable and most of the days I felt like giving up. But thanks to Rauno's support and a huge rush of motivation I got from Tumblr fitness blogs, I was able to get myself up and finish it all. I must admit that the day I had the cramps, I just couldn't do the Insanity because it would have broke me completely, so instead of that we took a nice long 1-hour jog which in the end made my spirit much happier! Despite of exercises getting harder and my little set-backs, it was such an achievement to complete the week and I feel so pumped up with new energy for the next week. I feel much much stronger after these days and overall it has been a very awesome week!

Since the weather has finally showed signs of beautiful spring, we also decided to go outdoors and now whenever it's sunny (or it's just not raining), we are taking the computer out and I can do all the exercises outdoors :) It gives so much freedom because living on the second floor in an apartment building makes me worried about the neighbors because no matter how softly I land every little jump is heard and that affects my success in the workout - I can't give 100% during the exercises. Now that we've seen how I can manage with Insanity outdoors, we can honestly say my progress is bigger, I complete the exercises more perfectly thanks to space and the freedom to jump around so overall - I really suggest that if you don't feel comfortable doing the Insanity indoors, take your laptop and just go to a park, sports field or whatever place you find most suitable.  If you aren't as worried about neighbors as I am, of course feel free to do it inside, as long as you can give 150% when you do the workout!

xoxo
