Today I want to share with you a very exciting story and collaboration with a totally new, soon-to-be world-rocking brand called O'Bazzië, which was founded by Ebenezer Obasiolu this year in January. The story behind these satchels is so moving and personal that it can do nothing but make you inspired - the inspiration for making these satchels came from the death of Ebenezer's grandma who lived in West Africa and due to the cost of transporting someone all the way from Africa to America, he couldn't bring her to America for good medical care. After that, he swore he'll never let someone slip away from his life because of financial problems and seeing potential in his satchel sketches, he founded the company.
For me the personal background of this collection and company is very important since we can all relate to it in some perspective and knowing the sincerity behind it can only touch us deeply and make the love towards the items grow. Now talking about the satchels itselves, for me the keywords are: simplicity, modern, practical and cool. For everyday life, when you need to balance between school and work, while still looking fashionable, it can be hard to manage with carrying all your stuff like books, laptop, make-up or whatever else. These satchels however do the job for you! They are very spacy and have enough room for all your school/work items and still have some space left. Though sometimes a bigger bag can look clomsy or just annoying, in this case the bag is so comfy and has great design, that it's only a pleasure carrying it around.
Now another huge plus to this collection are the colors. Those beautiful shades of green, purple, beige, yellow, black .. they have a satchel for everyone! Even if you are a reserved business woman, you can find your favorite one by carrying the beige or black one; if you are an eccentric girl, green or purple is the perfect one for you. Unique, comfy, practical and cool - what else could you need?! Ebenezer himself has said about the satchels: "Being from West Africa, I have been exposed to an enormous flavor of very diverse cultures, so therefore the cultural influence in the design and structure of O'Bazzië Satchels makes them unique and sort-after amongst fashion accessories." I couldn't agree more. You can see the designer's personal touch in the bag, which makes it very unique and dear. My suggestion to you: keep an eye on O'Bazzië, because it will be the hit fashion item in 2014!
