Gotta love grandma's clothes.. The thing with this dress is that it belongs to my grandma who kindly gave it to me since I'm in the same age she was when she wore it! Can you imagine one dress, travelling through several generations and decades, seeing different times and societys but still fitting in. I even remember a picture made about 17-18 years ago and she was wearing this dress, me on her lap. Some clothing pieces just get that sentimental value and this week, when I was cleaning up my closet, this dress popped out and I knew it's that one piece I could not throw away, ever - even though it's a size too big for me! That's the reason why I added a belt on it, so it would fit on my waist perfectly and create a beautiful waist line to the dress :)
The other thing I love about this dress is how the simplicity in it makes it so classy that putting it on with red lipstick gives a very lady-like feeling! I even couldn't add stilettos to the outfit, because this dress is everything else but 7'' killer-heel-kind-of-dress. Comfy wedges are a go-to in this case because the piece itself is classy enough already :)
Do you have any clothing pieces that have a true sentimental value on them or a background story that makes it special for you? I'd love to hear your stories, share them with me in the comments. <3
